On the morning of April 18, the signing and unveiling ceremony for the industry–university–research base of the Jiuxin Group and the South China University of Technology Collaborative Innovation Institute was solemnly held at the Jiuxin Industrial Park. Attending the event were Xu Liyong, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and Acting County Mayor; Li Shengguang, Member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and Executive Deputy County Mayor; Li Jianli, Deputy Director of the County Economic Development Zone; Cheng Jianhua, Professor at South China University of Technology, Doctoral Supervisor, and Director of the South China Collaborative Innovation Institute, along with other professors from the Institute; Huang Guiyin, Chairman of the Jiuxin Group; Chen Guoqing, President of Jiuxin Rihua Pharmaceutical Company; Shen Ming, General Manager of the Jiuxin Group; leaders of the Group’s various subsidiaries; and employees of the Jiuxin Group.

At the ceremony, Professor Zheng Huasheng of the South China Collaborative Innovation Institute and Chen Guoqing, President of Jiuxin Daily Chemical & Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., signed a cooperation agreement; County Magistrate Xu Liyong and Director Cheng Jianhua of the South China Innovation Institute jointly unveiled the base.
Huang Guiyin, Chairman of Jiuxin Group, outlined the company’s development history, its flagship products, and its market scale, providing an overview of the company to the distinguished leaders and guests.
Director Cheng Jianhua of the South China Collaborative Innovation Institute at South China University of Technology presented the institute’s research achievements and expressed his strong desire and confidence in collaborating with Jiuxin Group.
In his address, Li Shengguang stated that the signing and unveiling of the base mark a new phase in the strategic collaboration between the two parties, which will undoubtedly inject fresh momentum and vitality into Jiuxin Group’s leap‑forward development and the transformation and upgrading of the county‑level daily‑chemical industry. He expressed the hope that both sides will continue to strengthen mutual trust, deepen cooperation, accelerate the advancement of technological R&D and the commercialization of research outcomes, and strive for early, tangible results and abundant achievements.
This cooperation agreement marks a new starting point for university–enterprise collaboration. Jiu Xin Group will leverage the strengths of South China University of Technology’s leading disciplines, adopt a mutually beneficial, win‑win R&D model that shares both intellectual and financial returns, and capitalize on its own brand and market advantages to accelerate the commercialization of research outcomes. In doing so, it will further expand the scope and forms of cooperation, thereby driving rapid economic development in Dongping.
