Another spring has arrived, and another day brings heartwarming warmth. On the afternoon of January 31, on the twenty-sixth day of the twelfth lunar month, led by Jing Changzheng, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department; Yang Zhen, Deputy Secretary of the LaoHu Town Party Committee; and the secretaries of the village party branches where the impoverished households reside, the Jiuxin Group Charity Foundation—headed by Chairman He Zhenquan and Secretary-General Zhang Shouqiang, accompanied by county CPPCC members Liang Haixia and Li Xigong—brought with them a truckload of rice, flour, cooking oil, and generous cash donations. Amid the biting winter chill, they delivered warmth and hope to the nine impoverished families they are supporting.

Thanks to the Party and the government’s sound policies, in just six months—during which they had not seen one another—nine impoverished households have all moved from dark, damp shacks into spacious, bright apartments with elevators. At each stop, General Manager He warmly chatted with them, offering heartfelt concern and inquiring in detail about their family circumstances, their children’s education and employment, and the specific challenges their families face, as well as how they are preparing for the New Year. He urged them to take good care of themselves and, with the support of the Party’s favorable policies, to work hard and become prosperous through their own efforts. He also wished them a peaceful and harmonious Spring Festival.

Each time, the relief team would visit the home of 14-year-old Jiao Yang, a child from the Zhanying Community who is deeply on Chairman Huang’s mind. Jiao Yang’s grandmother had been waiting at the doorstep of their new house for quite some time. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, General Manager He learned that Jiao Yang had been suffering from a cold and fever and was currently receiving an IV drip at the local health clinic. Frowning, he insisted on paying a personal visit to check on the boy. Knowing that the delegation had a heavy schedule, Jiao Yang’s grandmother tried repeatedly to explain his whereabouts but could not provide any clear information. Left with no choice, General Manager He took a quick look around the family’s new living space. Upon seeing the “Outstanding Student” certificate displayed on the table, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Jiao Yang’s grandmother for her long‑term dedication and care. He then earnestly urged her to take good care of herself and to look after both Jiao Yang and her own health.

Liu Fangdong, a 31-year-old impoverished household resident of Zhanying Community, lives with his mother in the senior‑friendly apartment provided by the village. As soon as we stepped into Liu Fangdong’s home, a strong smell of honeycomb coal filled the air, and Liu Fangdong, who suffers from a mental illness, was nowhere to be found. General Manager He specifically instructed Liu Fangdong’s mother to exercise extreme caution when using the coal stove during the winter, ensuring adequate ventilation and avoiding any undue emotional burden. He encouraged her to maintain confidence in life and to trust that the Party and the government will surely help those in need overcome their difficulties and lead a happy, peaceful existence.

Zhao Zhong, a villager from Qilipu Village who lives on the third floor of Fenghuang Jiayuan, was left disabled after a fall and now finds it extremely difficult to get around. When he learned that Mr. He, leading a delegation from the Jiuxin Group and bearing Chairman Huang’s kind wishes, had come to pay him a visit, he leaned on the staircase, carefully making his way down one step at a time to the first floor, where he had been waiting in advance. Seeing this, Mr. He immediately reached out to help Zhao Zhong back home and urged him to sit down and rest. Panting slightly, Zhao Zhong said with a smile, “I received a gift during the sweltering summer, and another one as the New Year approached in the depths of winter—both sent by Chairman Huang…” As he spoke, his face lit up with joy.

General Manager He has long kept the health and living conditions of every impoverished household firmly in mind. At the home of 70-year-old villager Chen Peifang in Yandun Community, General Manager He took the initiative to inquire about her tuberculosis and heart condition. Upon learning that her ailments were under effective control, he wore a look of genuine relief. Receiving the condolence supplies, Chen Lanfang said to General Manager He with heartfelt emotion, “Thank you, Chairman Huang, for still remembering us. You haven’t just built a successful enterprise; you’ve also kept our impoverished villagers close to your heart, always caring about our well-being. Thank you, Jiuxin Group, for this sincere and warm gesture of support this Spring Festival!” General Manager He encouraged her to maintain a positive mindset, take good care of her health, and strive to live a better life.

As they made their way through the nine impoverished households one by one, the streets were already aglow with the lights of countless homes. Each greeting and heartfelt blessing was like a ray of sunshine, gently warming the hearts of those in need. This most heartwarming “gift” of the Spring Festival not only provided material assistance and emotional support but also offered them spiritual encouragement, helping them feel a comforting warmth even in the depths of winter—enabling them to celebrate the holiday with joy and spend the cold season in warmth.

The jade dog treads the snow as winter departs, and the golden pig brings auspicious blessings to welcome spring. We are confident that in the new year, these impoverished households will enjoy a prosperous, peaceful, and happy life.
